David L. Howton, a senior associate graduated with High Distinction from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Political Science. David is a graduate of Western State University College of Law, San Diego (now known as Thomas Jefferson School of Law) where David served as Editor-in-Chief of the school’s Law Review, The Criminal Justice Journal.

Since his admission to the California Bar in 1983 David as gained a solid background in general civil litigation, with expertise in workers’ compensation law, personal injury, as well as construction defect and real estate law. Since 1991 David has focused his practice on representing his clients in all aspects of workers’ compensation cases including case analysis and preparation of legal strategies, development and analysis of issues for trial, litigation of issues at trial, and negotiation of favorable resolutions of legal disputes. David has represented, insurance carriers, employers, third-party administrators, and the California Insurance Guarantee Association. David attributes his longevity and success in workers’ compensation to be a creative self-starter and problem solver.

David is an avid model airplane builder. He resides in Lake Forest with his wife Vicki and daughter Leah Beth.
